Testimonies about the impact of Anglicans Ablaze South Gippsland

Here are some of the testimonies we received about the impact of the Anglicans Ablaze conference …

Initially I had been in two minds about going to the Ablaze conference but after praying about it I felt God giving me the nudge to go. The first talk by Melinda took us on a journey in which we imagined ourselves moving out of the drivers’ seat of our lives and allowing the Holy Spirit to take the wheel. I found this meditation very helpful. Then I participated in the Naturally Supernatural workshop where we shared stories of the way the Holy Spirit was active in peoples’ lives. It was amazing to hear the many ways He was at work. I thought to myself these experiences couldn’t be mere co-incidences. It took me back to a moment a few weeks ago when the Holy Spirit gave me the right words to say in a conversation. It was a full-on day but so worthwhile. I was glad I hadn’t missed it.

I loved hearing the stories that participants told of the healing power of the Spirit today. We are all aware of Jesus’ miracles two thousand years ago, but we don’t notice how many healings there are today. We should notice as we have had many examples in our Parish lately. I found the Ablaze conference a great encouragement to be alert for the Spirit’s presence. If we are being told to pray for someone, we should do it immediately, even if we are in the supermarket!

The conference brought into focus the gift and the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Initially I was unsure about attending but after reading all of Ephesians the night before I felt the Holy Spirit was convicting me to be there. I have come away with a deep sense to be fully open to allow the Holy Spirit to work within me. As a Christian I must be equally praising of the Holy Spirit as part of the holy triune. All in all the conference was well run & informative in its teaching. It was also a wonderful opportunity to share in fellowship with others.

The Ablaze conference provided an opportunity to be spiritually fed, prayed for and refreshed. It focused not just on knowing about the Holy Spirit but also on experiencing Him. Since the conference I feel like the flood gates have been opened and the Holy Spirit has been sending me ‘divine appointments’ daily. I have been emboldened to share Jesus with others and even found myself offering prayer for healing to the person behind me at the supermarket checkout. The prayer was gratefully received! I would encourage others to attend an Ablaze conference.
